A SANCTUARY FOR ANIMALS AND HUMANS

Never doubt that a small group

of thoughtful, committed citizens

can change the world.

Indeed, it's the only thing that ever has.

EXPERIENCE - CHANGE - EVOLVE

The Project

help us build a kinder sustainable future

STAGE ONE

Sanctuary.

Since 2015 the sanctuary has created a place of safety for animals, free from cruelty and exploitation of any kind.

STAGE TWO

Educate.

It is our intention to offering an educational facility to conduct animal advocacy workshops, promotion of health and wellbeing, and experiential development opportunities for all ages.

STAGE THREE

Retreat.

Ultimately, we intend to provide facilities for visitors to stay and experience the harmony and bliss of the sanctuary, gain knowledge and skills of animal advocacy techniques, and reconnect with the vegan purpose.

ABOUT US

POHP is a sanctuary for both animals and humans. We offer a place of safety, healing and learning.

The project provides an experience that nurtures change. Our wish is to create a ripple effect that brings about a transformation in how we treat ourselves, other beings and this planet we call home.

POHP aims to educate and promote the adoption of a compassionate, considerate lifestyle, the vegan philosophy and it’s importance for the future of the planet and all its inhabitants.

the location

Piece of Heaven Project is located on 95 acres of land, nestled in a very secluded spot in Burton, British Columbia.

The land, which rises up the side of Mt Marshall, is surrounded by mountains and thick forest, set amongst the stunningly beautiful scenery of the West Kootenays. From high points, it overlooks Arrow Lake, with views looking towards the Valhalla Mountain Range to the south.

It is a wonderfully tranquil and very private spot,  where the loudest non-animal sound is the rushing of the distant creek, as it races towards the lake.
