Jessie is ‘boss cow’, accepted by the others as their supreme leader, and respected by all of the animals at the sanctuary. Even Teddy the horse seems to accept her as an equal. Her black coat is relatively unusual for a Highland cow. She is slightly shy, but is gradually coming out of her shell the longer she is with us.
