The Piece of Heaven Project has over 90 animals of various sizes!
Between food and vet bills, the direct costs of caring for all these animals add up quickly!
Our biggest expense, by far, is hay. This year, the price of a single round bale (which will feed our 7 cows for four days) is $120. We use an additional two bales every week to feed the rest of the sanctuary clan; putting us at over $450/week in cost of hay alone!

Does my animal friend have more than one sponsor?
It is often too costly for one person to sponsor all of an animals' needs. On average, it costs $435 to care for one of our animals for a year (the cows and horses are considerably more!) including food, hay, vitamins, medication, vet bills and the infrastructure to keep the animals safe, dry and warm in all weather conditions - we get extremes here!
We therefore must provide for their needs with the help of multiple generous sponsors. As a sponsor, your contribution not only provides for your animal friend but works to protect all our farm animals and supports our efforts towards animal advocacy and vegan education.
How do I renew my sponsorship?
All monthly donations will automatically renew. if you would like to renew a 12 month sponsorship, please reach out to us through the Contact Us section of our website, or repurchase your chosen sponsorship tier using the links above.
